I've had shocks but the shocks have been on left side of my body. Docs replaced the stimulator on right side of body thinking it was a bad battery but I still get occasional shocks. If problem doesn't get worse I think I'll just live with it. Except for shocks the DBS surgery has been very helpful...no doubts at all about having surgery. Good luck.

I was wondering if anyone out there has or is experiencing a shock-like sensation at the site of the implants in their heads? I am 3 months post-op and am experiencing periodic shocks in my head. Why? the leads were not connected all the way on the right side and fluid is corroding the area. I was told this is a possibility, after the fact, and am curious to find out if anyone else has had this happen.
