All I can say is that Dr. Jerg Jaggi (yerg ya!.ggee) (Swedish) does a fine job with me, and I know that he is keeping up with the art because he will tell me that one change or another might help, but some have ecperiewnced Z or z sq. (Z=an undesirable outcome). If you're stil interested I will give you a phone # for an appointment.

Hi Steven,
Try University Hospital in Pittsburgh, or Allegheny General, depts. of Neurology. But it will be worth a trip to KU to be programmed by Stephanie. She's one of the best!

Does anyone know how to contact Medtronics and ask them who is trained in programming their IPG in my area. I live in southeast Kansas and am looking for someone who knows how to do programming and turning off and on of my stimulator for MRI and other medical services. Some one in Pittsburg or Joplin, Mo. area would be great. Otherwise I must travel to KU Med center in Kansas Ciy to have my stimulator turned off (step by step) for a local MRI in Pittsburg. This is not very handy... Anyone have ideas? they're welomed.. As some of you may not know. I have had the DBS for Dystonia. My surgeon was a Dr. Vitek at Emory University ( Atlanta ) in Feb 2000.. When I need an MRI or other medical services performed on me my neurologist at Emory always ask that my IPG be programmed to zero and the return to my normal settings after the required procedure. This means I need some familiar with the DBS, IPG and the unit used to program the IPG... If you can be of some help please email me... Thanks ~ Steven
