Helen - it may have been me! What kind of exercises did DH have to do to reduce the slurred speech? Is there a website or somewhere I could access with more details?
Thanks Helen for taking the time to mention this in your message.

Roberta the DBS Nurse,
First of all, thank you so much for being here for this board. And thank you for helping out with the dental question.
It has been eleven months since DH had his first implant done - the second was done in July - and what a difference it has been. It has been a truly amazing year for him and for us both.
Happy Holidays and a Happy Healthy New Year to all.
Helen in SW FL where it is chilly today.

Helen, The dental X-rays are no problem, but he should have prophalactic antibiotics. Just tell the dentist that the device is like a pacemaker. Dentists have protocols for pacemakers, so this will make sense to him. Good luck! Roberta

Question - DH needs extensive dental work. Now, how does this work when x-rays are taken and he's wired on both sides? Roberta the DBS nurse or anyone else with suggestions?
I'm sorry I can't remember who posted about slurring speech but DH has a bit of a problem with that when he gets tired. One of the things that combats that is the exercises he learned from the Speech Pathologist that USF sent out here almost two years ago. He just needs to do them once in awhile. :)
Thank you for your help with the dental situation.
