I have deep brain stimulation for myoclonus dystonia and deal with the Krembil Neuroscience clinic at the Toronto Western Hospital, Canada. I do believe that DBS of the thalamus or even the sub-thalamus may greatly improve tremors created by an accident(secondary tremors. The tremors that I had with my movement disorder where sever and now are greatly reduced. GOOD LUCK! lEE

I found this info, last nite...
"Thalamic surgery may also be useful for patients with tremor secondary to multiple sclerosis or trauma although the results are less predictable due to the associated injury to other brain structures inherent in these afflictions."
2 1/ 2 years ago, I was hit by an automobile, while attempting to walk across the street. I sustained a diffuse axonal injury. I was in a coma for five weeks. By the grace of God, I awoke, with most of my cognitive skills.
I currently suffer from cerebellum tremors.
I would like to know if thalamic surgery will or can help my condition. For obvious reasons, I am most interested in deep brain stimulation. Is this available, for cerebellum tremors? If not, are you aware of any testing, being done?
Thank you, in advance for, your kind consideration.
